6 So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, are you restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time?”
7 He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or periods that the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Why do the disciples want to know if Jesus will be restoring the kingdom to Israel at that moment?
Why doesn’t Jesus tell us when He is coming back?
If you knew the exact moment Jesus was coming back would anything change in your life?
If something would change, why wouldn’t you do that now?

Psalm 78:1-8
1 My people, hear my instruction; listen to the words from my mouth. 2 I will declare wise sayings; I will speak mysteries from the past— 3 things we have heard and known and that our ancestors have passed down to us. 4 We will not hide them from their children, but will tell a future generation the praiseworthy acts of the Lord, his might, and the wondrous works he has performed. 5 He established a testimony in Jacob and set up a law in Israel, which he commanded our ancestors to teach to their children 6 so that a future generation—children yet to be born—might know. They were to rise and tell their children 7 so that they might put their confidence in God and not forget God’s works, but keep his commands. 8 Then they would not be like their ancestors, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation whose heart was not loyal and whose spirit was not faithful to God.

Prayer TACOS
Thanksgiving: Who did the Lord put in your life to teach you about Him and His ways?
Amazement: Psalm 78:6 says “so that a future generation—children yet to be born—might know.” God set up in advance ways for people to know Him even before they were born! Worship Him for that.
Confession: How have you neglected or dismissed the next generation? Confess that and ask the Lord to give you a new perspective.
Others: Who is someone working with the next generation that you could encourage and talk to this week? Ask the Lord to give you an opportunity to encourage them in the Lord.
Self: How can you invest in the next generation? Ask the Lord to direct you this week in practical ways to tell the next generation about Jesus.
